Madeline Wimmer is a Fruit Crops Educator with University of Minnesota Extension. Born and raised in Minnesota, Madeline is delighted to be working in her home state with growers ranging from backyard gardeners to farmers who grow fruit on a larger scale. She completed her B.S.and M.Sc. in horticulture at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and has years of experience studying and working with cold climate wine grapes, including her time spent working at the Missouri Grape and Wine Institute. Madeline is especially excited to work with new growers on a wide range of fruit crops (e.g., apples, grapes, honeyberries, strawberries) by creating educational opportunities that increase grower confidence to produce high quality fruits throughout Minnesota.
